YOUR

QUESTIONS

All the animals I care for are individuals with their own needs and personalities. I will discuss your pet with you in detail before any visits commence so that you can tell me all about them. In a perfect world I would meet you pet first but I know sometimes trips come up at short notice.

I am sure you have a list of questions and concerns and I am more than happy to talk through all of them, but you will find some of the most commonly asked questions below along with my pricing.

  • How does it work?
Contact me, we arrange a mutual time for me to come meet you and your pet/s where we will go over all the requirements for caring for your pet/s. Paperwork is filled in and signed. Then everything is good to go for visits.
  • Can I really trust you to take care of my pet?
It's easy for me to say 'of course' when it's not my pet but I promise that I will take the very best care of your pet and if you want any references or recommendations you can always post on my facebook page and there are lots of local people who can reassure you that I have taken care of their pets for years. I am qualified and experienced and it goes without saying that I love animals.
  • How many visits a day do you offer?
1 or 2 depending on what is required. If extra are needed for medical reasons please let me know so we can discuss this further.
  • Is it safe to leave my house keys with you?
Your house keys are completely safe with me. I am fully insured and DBS checked and your keys will be locked securely in a safe any time I am not actively using them for a pet visit. Keys are only ever colour coded for reference, never labeled with your address. There are customer references on my 'about' page and on my facebook page. I am completely trustworthy and very careful while visiting your home to care for your pets.
  • What if there is an emergency?
Sometimes emergencies happen and it's natural to be concerned. I make sure that I have emergency contact details as well as your vet's address and contact details. If anything seemed even slightly 'off' I would contact you immediately. I would never hesitate to take your pet to the vet and I am qualified in animal first aid.
  • Can I get updates about my pet?
Absolutely! If you want me to I am happy to text you about your pet and can send you photos. I am more than happy to call you to discuss how your pet is doing and you can call me in and around work hours if you want to check in on them. Just let me know what would help you feel more relaxed and happy!
  • My pet needs medication, can you deal with that?"
Yes, definitely. Many of my own pets and the pets that I have taken care of have needed medication on occasion. I am more than happy to administer medication wherever needed. We will talk over anything your pet needs when we arrange the visits and you can tell me if there is anything specific I need to know.

Cosy Cat Care is a Harrogate based business. I am happy to travel reasonable distances outside of Harrogate if it is possible within my schedule but I do reserve the right to decline work that would impact my schedule for other clients and possibly charge extra depending on your location.

A standard visit lasts approximately 10 minutes. Longer visits may be possible, subject to availability. The cost of a longer visit will depend on its length and will be quoted after a discussion with you about your pet's needs.

Prices are revised occasionally in line with market rates and inflation/cost of living increases. I try to keep these price increases as small and infrequent as possible.

I am normally available for pet visits during Christmas (Day/Eve/Boxing day) as well as over New Year and Easter Sunday, though these days do incur additional charges. Please drop me an email at julieyeoman@hotmail.co.uk or call me on 07713 136 904 to discuss.
